We started off our summer by traveling to Iowa to an awesome Christian Music Festival. Toby Mac, Mercy Me, and Crowder were some of the big names that were playing and we were very excited to go. We got there on a Friday evening, checked into our hotel, and went to listen to some music. The next day was fun also, but as it got closer to the time for Toby Mac to come on stage, it started to downpour. Elyana and I were in the car so she could rest a bit. Nate and Mikayla dashed back to the van (which was not close). We went back to the hotel to dry off and grab a bite to eat. We decided to return and see if the rain would stop soon. The field was trashed. Chairs were tipped over and everyone had just left their things and ran. We were glad we toughed it out because Toby Mac did come back on stage and he put on an incredible show! We had fun being close to the stage and dancing. It was funny because at one point a small boy was breakdancing in the mud. Other people were painting war stripes on their faces. It was such a big mess to clean when we got home (shoes, chairs, car mats, etc.) However, it was such a good time and some incredible memories were made!
