Laughter

The girls have been cracking us up lately.  Last night they played a great game of seeing which one would talk first. Elyana finally did.  It was such a nice quiet dinner with a notebook being passed back and forth! 

A few nights ago, Elyana was eating ice cream and she said to Mikayla, "Let's play, 'Guess if my mouth is full of ice cream or not.'" and she sucks in air and puffs up her cheeks like a squirrel.  We were laughing so hard. She lets out the air and announced that "Nope, I tricked you guys, there wasn't ice cream in there that time."  She's always entertained us at dinner!

Yesterday Elyana cleaned out her school folder and made paper balls out of all the trash.  She entertained my moms dog, Chloe. Then, when Mikayla came upstairs it turned into a paper ball war complete with umbrella shields and secret "lairs" behind the couches.  Never a dull moment with these kiddos!

April

It has been a chilly and rainy April. The bulbs I planted on my birthday in honor of Christine are blooming though.

And the robins have once again laid eggs under our deck. The girls love peeking on them to see how they change.

They will kill me for posting this but it is so cute to see them peeking through the deck cracks to see the Robin eggs.

 

We had one nice evening to do some yard work and begin burning some of our brush and of course have smores.

Zucchini Noodles.  Trying to eat healthier. Nate is at his goal weight and is now trying to cut cholesterol. I've lost 12 pounds since January and have another 15 to go to be at my goal weight.

Comic Con

For Christmas this year, the girls wanted to put some of their Christmas present money towards attending Comic Con in Madison during their spring break.  We went to Dad and Sarah's place in Madison while we were attending. We brought Jen and Nora Pauley along with us.  It was much fun road tripping with them!

Elyana and I got some glasses to decorate from Wendy's. It was fun being silly and trying to embarrass the tween girls in the back of the van!

Spring Breaks

Easter late afternoon we picked up Sophia and brought her back with us for her spring break. I wish the girls had the same spring break as she did this year but they didn't.  Mom and I took Sophia on an Amish tour, went swimming at the YMCA, did some shopping, and Sophia and I built another miniature house out of shoe boxes.  The girls started their spring break that Friday and we took all of the girls to the Mall of America. The girls did the zip line across the mall and they went on rides all day. Mikayla brought her friend, Kaitlyn along.
